Xander Schauffele has moved to the top of the Phoenix Open leaderboard, following a superb second-round seven-under-par 64 on Friday.
The American, who already has four PGA Tour titles to his name, made a steady start on his front nine before exploding into life after the turn.
Schauffele went birdie-birdie-birdie-eagle before signing off with another birdie on the final hole. It had the 27-year-old make a significant climb up the leaderboard where he finished the day on 12 under par.

South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen enjoyed a solid day out at TPC Scottsdale by carding a four-under-par 67 for his second round. It moved Oosthuizen up to six under for the week where he occupies a share of 21st spot.
