Patrick Reed and Alex Noren are the co-leaders at the Farmers Insurance Open after the opening-round’s action in San Diego on Thursday.
Reed and Noren both carded respective rounds of 64 to go eight under par for the opening round at Torrey Pines.
It saw them surge to the top of the leaderboard with a one-shot lead over Scottie Scheffler, who also had a solid day’s play with his seven-under-par 65.

A massive group of 12 players secured a share of fourth spot, all going six under for the day. They include the likes of Gary Woodland, Cameron Smith and Ryan Palmer to name a few.
It was a steady start for the South Africans in the field with Dylan Frittelli and Charl Schwartzel shooting respective rounds of 70.
Both managed to end the day on two under par as they battled well to keep their scores in the red.
Louis Oosthuizen shot an even-par 72, while Erik van Rooyen went two over to end the day in T119.
