Louis Oosthuizen carded three-over-par 73 on Sunday at Oakmont Country Club to finish the US Open Championship on seven-over.
Compleat Golfer’s playing editor shot rounds of 75, 65, 74, 73 in the year’s second major, earning a share of 26th place early into the final round.
The 2010 Open Champion played attacking golf on the front side, but bogeyed the seventh and ninth to turn in one-over-par 36.
He stumbled into the stretch and made bogeys at the 10th and 11th, but pulled the two shots back with birdies at the following two holes.
The 33-year-old dropped further shots at the 16th and 18th to sign for 73.
