NBC broadcaster Mike Tirico may have opened up an old wound when ending his discussion with Donald Trump during Sunday’s Driving relief match.
The somewhat controversial interview ended with Tirico saying: ‘I got to see first-hand — you’re a good putter, knock it to kick-in distance often.’
This may have been a dig at Trump after an incident between the pair was detailed in Rick Reilly’s book, Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump. We wrote about it here: New book tackles Trump on cheating

Trump threw Tirico’s ball into the bunker after the commentator had hit a par-five green in two. ‘Trump threw it into the bunker,’ the caddie said. ‘I watched him do it.’
‘Lousy break,’ Trump reportedly said at the time.
