Woods is making his second start of 2018 at a venue where he has not won in 10 previous starts while McIlroy looks to bounce back from a missed cut at Pebble Beach.
The storylines don’t finish there as Riviera was the venue for Woods’ debut in 1992 as a skinny 16-year-old, although he missed the cut.
