Louis Oosthuizen heads a strong field of players for the tri-sanctioned event between the European Tour, the Asian Tour and the Sunshine Tour.

The world No 22 and eight-time European Tour winner will get his tournament under way at 7:30 alongside Australian Scott Hend and Nicolas Colsaerts.

George Coetzee, winner of the event in 2015 – the last time the event was staged at the Heritage Club –  will play alongside in-form Swede Alexander Bjork after finishing in a tie for second in Hong Kong last week, and with 18-year-old Phachara Khongwatmai.

The field also includes some of the exciting young South African players who made their mark on the European Tour last season. Hayden Porteous will play alongside Gavin Green and Matt Wallace, while Dylan Frittelli will play alongside Jamie Donaldson and S.S.P Chawrasia at 12:30.

Mauritus will also be the first start for many of the Qualifying School graduates, such as Scotland’s Connor Syme, Gavin Moyhihan and Sam Horsefield.

The 2016 Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke will make his first start on the European Tour since September, playing alongside Darren Fichardt and Arjun Atwal at 12:10.
