David Frost will defend his Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic title this week at Fallen Oak, where he has a rich history.
Frost, who won the Nedbank Golf Challenge three times, was ranked in the top 10 in the world for 86 weeks during his career, and is now enjoying competing on the PGA Tour Champions circuit.
Fallen Oak has been his favourite course on the senior rotation and he finished tied seventh in 2010, tied second in 2011, and tied sixth in 2013.
Last year he added a crown jewel to his Mississippi success with a one-shot victory after over Kevin Sutherland and Tom Lehman.
The South African made four birdies in a five-hole stretch and was left with a clutch six-foot putt for par at the 18th to secure the victory, which he duly sank. He closed with a round of 68 on Sunday and finished the tournament on 10-under-par.
This week the field is once again packed with talent senior players, including Bernhard Langer, Duffy Waldorf, and Woody Austin.
Frost will be itching to defend his title at a venue that has been good to him over the years.
