Compleat Golfer has been named South Africa’s number one performing magazine over the past year.
Compleat Golfer topped the paid consumer segment with a 13% growth in circulation, and a 40% revenue growth to occupy top spot on the list compiled by The Media magazine.
There are four other Highbury Media magazines in the top 10, including SA Rugby magazine (No 10), Tech (No 6), My Kitchen (No 5) and Motor (No 4).

The Media magazine, a media industry publication, compiles the list each year, based on the previous years’ information, which includes an analysis of readership data (AMPS), circulation (ABC) and advertising revenue (Nielsen).
In its announcement of the winning titles, The Media magazine noted that publications on the list that saw growth like Highbury’s, had quality of content and an understanding of their markets as distinguishing factors for success.
