Phil Mickelson’s day took a turn for the controversial after he hit his moving ball during round three at the US Open on Saturday.
Lucky 13? Not for Phil as his birthday took a dive after he hit a putt on the 13th hole while his ball was still rolling, what looked like off the green before the veteran’s untimely intervention.
His score was originally marked as a 9 but has been updated to a 10.
The USGA is reportedly looking at the incident in the context of ‘conduct unbecoming as a competitor’.
